This document is a Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for institutional cooperation between the College of Education (COE), Signaw Valley State University Centre (SVSU), Michigan, USA, Kittur Rani Channamma Residential School and P.U. College for Girls (KRCRSG), Kittur, India, and Carrollton Public Schools (CPS), Carrollton, Michigan, USA. The purpose of this MOU is to facilitate cooperation between COE, SVSU, KRCRSG and CPS to promote international understanding and friendship. These goals will be accomplished by initiating faculty and student of the institutions.
CO-OPERATIVE ACTIVITIES :
The College of Education at Saginaw Valley State University, Michigan, USA, Kittur Rani Channamma Residential School and P.U. for Girls, Kittur, Karnataka, India and Carrollton Public Schools, Carrollton, Michigan, USA intend to promote the above interaction through the following cooperative activities.
1 . Faculty and teachers exchange will be arranged to provide professional development curriculum and instructional strategies and share teaching and learning approaches that are considered best practices. Faculty, teachers and administration exchange will be encouraged to share ideas related to leadership, management, organizational change and educational reform.
2 . Faculty and teachers will work jointly on curriculum alignment with State (Karnataka) and national (India) standards with the intent of improving student achievement.
3 . Faculty and teachers will conduct joint research projects and collaborate on the publication of an annual journal documenting their Progress.
4 . Faculty will be encouraged to document the activities for purpose of sharing ideas related to curricular and instructional strategies.
5 . The COE KRCRSG and CPS will cooperate in the development and maintenance of commemorative informational display honoring the institutions.
6 . The COE, KRCRSG and CPS will develop website information describing the and activities of the partnership.
7 . The development of students exchange between the COE and KRCRSG and CPS and KRCRSG will be promoted by all three institutions.
8 . SVSU and CPS will aid in the formation of a KRCRSG alumni Association for those KRCRSG graduates living in the USA.
9 . Any other initiatives as proposed and agreed upon by the three institutions.
COMPLETION AND ADMINISTRATION OF THE AGREEMENT :
The details of the aforementioned exchange will be initiated, and coordinated by the office of the Dean, College of Education, Saginaw Valley State University, administration of the Kittur Rani Channamma Residential School and P.U.College for Girls, and Superintendent of Carrollton Public Schools.
